Detailed description of the house 

Alouette is tastefully furnished, breathing family history, and offers every comfort for you and your family or friends. In the living room you can relax in the cozy sitting area with fireplace. The kitchen is fully equipped, you can cook and dine extensively. Upstairs are a total of three bedrooms, all have a double bed and there are two modern bathrooms, one big bathroom with shower and with a wonderful bath. The smaller second bathroom has a shower only. The house has a loft with an open sleeping area which sleeps 6 on the second floor; 5 adult beds and 1 bed for a child up to 6 to 8 years; perfect for kids. The third bathroom can be found here as well, including toilet and shower.

THE GARDEN 

It is also wonderful to relax outside in the large garden with a covered patio, enjoy summer evenings, relax in the large outdoor fauteuils, or play a game of jeu de boules on the jeu de boules court. And the outdoor fireplace/barbecue is ideal for preparing your favorite summer BBQ dishes!

Outside:

  • an airy and big outside dining area; including wood-fired pizza oven

  • long dinner tables to seat everyone, a bbq to fire up for those long summer nights

  • an outdoor space to be covered by sun screens during very hot sunny days

  • a small terrace connected to the kitchen for that perfect morning coffee

  • a made-to-relax 'lounge' garden furniture set; amazing to enjoy a cocktail as well

  • a private "jeu de boules" court directly adjacent to the main terrace

  • mini-football pitch / multi-sports court of artificial grass; perfect playground

THE LIVING ROOM

Traditionally decorated, spacious area. The living room has large and comfy sofas for relaxing and to have a nice apero!

 

When opening all windows and curtains, the living room is light and sunny, even when it is spring or autumn. Gather around the fireplace, get the fire started and enjoy the cosy atmosphere. The fire place is working, and it is very easy to get a nice fire. Simply put some logs of wood on the bricks and light it! When renting, we'll make sure there is some fresh wood available for you.

 

The dining table seats 10, but can be extended to seat even more. In the cupboard you can find a very large collection of board games, for some family fun on a rainy day. 

THE KITCHEN

Kitchen includes oven and microwave, dishwasher , full size fridge and an extra freezer to keep all your ice creams cool during summer

​The little sun room is connected to the kitchen and catches the morning light. Super cosy to have your first coffee of the day here, in a very light & bright spot

THE EXTRA's

There are a few special things to mention about the house and the garden, the extra's. In 2022 the garden was fully renovated, and to make it more playful, a special mini-football pitch / multi-sports court of artificial grass was created; a perfect playground for kids.

And, a private "jeu de boules" court can be found directly adjacent to the main terrace, to play a nice game together. 

​

During summer time we love to make our own pizza's. In the garden you will find a wood-fired pizza oven. Next to that, of course there is also a BBQ available.

​

And of course.... our own cabine on the beach from end of spring to start of autumn!

THE CABIN ON THE BEACH
 

Only a few minutes away, you can directly access the beach. During the summer months there are many white beach cabins on the beach of Knokke-Heist. You can go to the beach carefree and do not have to worry about renting a bed. Our cabin has all the beach chairs, umbrellas and beach games

THE GOOD LIFE
 

When walking down the street to the beach, you immediately have access to some of the beach clubs of Albert Beach, like Beaufort Plage 

​

  • Beaufort plage is open from April to October. In this beach bar you can choose from a wide range of different drinks, sangria with fresh fruit, champagne, etc.! Appetizers and fresh fruit are always available to satisfy small hunger. The beach bar is open from Easter holidays to mid-September, depending on weather conditions.

  • One of the nicest beach bars in Knokke to visit in the summer is Zoutestrand Beach Bar. Here you will experience the Saint Tropez feeling! Zeedijk 827, 8300 Knokke-Heist, @zoutestrand19

  • At Vintage Beach Club in Knokke you nest in the lounge seats where modernity and nostalgia merge in a relaxed atmosphere. On the spacious terrace with a beautiful view of the sun, sea and beach you can enjoy delicious refreshing cocktails, thirst-quenching rosé or sparkling champagne and some snacks.   • Beach club Surfers Paradise is exactly what the name says: a paradise for water sports enthusiasts. You can go there for all kinds of activities (reservation in advance is required). www.surfersparadise.be
